How old is to old for these foods?
How long is Tang after I mix it and put in the refrigerator? Juice after you open it or mix it? What about ketchup, bbq sauce, and steak sauce? I know people who use the same bottle of these sauces for over a year? Does it go bad? I don't like to use it after a few months but how old is to old?

I would say juice or tang about a week tops. Ketchup and stuff, just buy smaller bottles if you can, and try to use it up as soon as possible. As long as the texture hasn't changed or it doesn't smell bad then thre is evough preservatives in it to keep for as long as you have it in your fridge.

I need help.?
I need help. I am 11 years old, 5" feet. And I weigh about 146 pounds. I want to lose weight simply. I try not to eat too much. Lately I have been bullumic. I try not to eat too much but, then I get the big urge and I start to eat. Like if I'm eating a bagel, I'll put less cream cheese but sometimes sneak a little more. My eating habits are REALLY BAD !! I can eat up to 2 slices of NY Big pizzas, 1 BIG BAG of potatoe chips and still not be full, or I can eat up to about 4-5 hot dogs, if I eat salads I go a little overboard. I put crutons, ranch dressing (not to much). Lately I have been eating lots of fruit and veggies. I feel all heavy and yuck with fat all over my body. My identical twint sister she would even eat the FAT off of the meat of the steak or beef. Lately I have not been eating any oily or greasy foods. Like I'm Korean and my grandma cooks things like gome tang and gal bi gome tang and kimchi bokum I Am so sick of people calling me fat. If you can help me, THAnks !!!!!!!

Hi there. You didn't mention what your activity levels are like but if they are not good, you need to increase them. You need to make sure you exercise regularly. Exercise can be a number of things, that do not have to be limited to boring routines. Even just jumping on a trampoline (for example) is exercise. You could also try playing sports with friends. If you enjoy dancing, that would be a great way to exercise and it is very fun. You don't have to sign up for classes, just let loose in the privacy and comfort of your own house. Anything that gets you active will be beneficial. You could set limits for how long you watch tv or play video games, if you do these things. Commit your other free time to being active. On the eating side of things, the worst thing you can ever do is to skip meals, so if you do this, make sure you stop. When you skip meals or drastically lower your calorie intake, your metabolism naturally slows down, so despite eating less food, you will burn less calories as well. Then when you binge and have that big meal, almost all of it will get stored as fat. As far as your food choices are concerned, it looks as if you are making some good choices, but there obviously needs to be some improvement. It is great you are eating lots of fruits and veggies lately, but you need to make sure that you are eating a variety of them and make sure you are not adding butter to the veggies. Always remember that fresh fruit is better than the canned kind but if you have fresh you need to have the kind that says it is in its own juice (as opposed to syrup). Potato chips are considered one of the most unhealthy foods, so avoid them completely! Pizza is also very bad. It packs a lot of calories and a huge amount of fat. If you are having trouble getting full, I would suggesting having some water before, during, and after eating. It will help you get full. For snacks, try to have healthy things like a small handful of nuts and seeds, some low-fat yogurt, or some veggies with dip. As far as liquids go, if you drink soda, you really should stop. That is a lot of unnecessary calories and sugar. Sugar is a very big culprit in weight gain and cutting it out as much as possible will greatly help. You could drink herbal teas that do not have caffeine in them (and don't add sugar) and they count as water :) Then of course, that brings us to water - it is absolutely crucial that you drink sufficient amounts of water! Water is essential to weight loss. I am not sure how much is recommended for someone your age, but the thing I hear for adults is 6-8 (8 ounce) glasses per day. There are a lot of other ways you could change your diet to help but as you are 11, I am sure your options are limited because your parents buy all the food. You really need to sit down and talk to them about how you are feeling and maybe they could help you. You said you are bulimic because you binge but didn't mention if you make yourself throw up (making yourself throw up is the hallmark of bulimia), but if you are doing this, it is NOT at all good! It is very bad for your health and can cause serious long term damage to your body. Just a few of the things it can do is erode your esophagus away - the esophagus is the tube that carries food to your stomach from your mouth, thus it is essential for life. It can make your teeth rot as the acid from vomit erodes away the enamel, and there are many other negative health problems associated with bulimia. You need to seek some help. Remember to talk to an adult about your problem - if you cannot talk to your parents, talk to a school counselor. It could be very beneficial for you and they could possibly offer you (and your family) some nutrition advice. Good luck, and I really hope that you can achieve your goals.

What happened to real hip hop and rap?
turn on the radio and all you hear is Hurricane Chris, Soulja Boy, Gucci Mane and whoever the hell feels the need to spell out every word in the song. I knew hip hop was slippin when I saw a special that asked rappers what was the first hip hop record they bought, Ice T and KRS- One and EPMD were saying people like Kurtis Blow, Funky 4+1 or Run DMC or Sugar Hill Gang and then Soulja Boy said his first was 50 Cent "get rich or die tryin" I just find it messed up that the majority or people who claim to know hip hop now dont know jack. They think that hip hop began with Lil Wayne. You cant be anything if you dont know your roots. I mean at least with R&B Usher knows he got his style from Marvin Gaye and Michael Jackson. In Hip hop and rap now you mention KRS One or EPMD or Wu Tang of Big Daddy Kane or De La Soul or Q-Tip or Common or Ice T or NWA to most of the kids listening now they give you this stupid look like they dont know what youre talking about. Mention Hurricane Chris, Boosie,G Spot Boyz , Dorrough Music, Gucci Mane, 6 Tre G,Oj Da Juiceman,etc and all the kids think Hip Hop began with them. I'm actually starting to think Nas was right Hip Hop is dead. Nobody raps about anything anymore. KRS One and Common and NWA had something to say. Sure Pac had some club bangers but he also made songs with a message. Now everything you hear is "do the stanky leg" "put ya titties in the air" "do the doo doo foot" "she so fine (said about 23 times)" "check my swag" Nas was right -Real hip hop is dead. Jay was right. I feel sorry for all the kids who think that what they hear on the radio is hip hop because its not. Its what the record companys want you to think is hip hop. Its not even real. Its what 12 guys sitting in a board room decide to market as hip hop. If you really want to know hip hop and rap go buy the records from 15 to 20 to 25 years ago. Kids listening to the radio and thinking its real hip hop and real rap its not. Its like being feed a Big Mac and being told its a Steak and going along with it because youve only been exposed to Big Macs. If you want that Steak go back and get it and I promise you you'll never want a Big Mac again
